The Steel Protection Consultancy (SPC), is a wholly independent specialist coatings and corrosion consultancy company. It is privately owned by the Consultants and Directors and has no links or connections with contractors, paint manufacturers or other engineering consultancy organisations.

SPC evolved from the team of Directors and Consultants who formed BIE Anti Corrosion in the early 1970’s and when that company was sold, ITI Anti Corrosion was formed at the beginning of the 80’s, continuing exactly the same specialist consultancy and inspection services previously provided by BIE.

At the beginning of the 90’s when ITI closed down, SPC was formed to concentrate on specialist consultancy services and the team of BIE/ITI Consultants and Directors were the principle participants in this new venture.

Since its formation in 1994 SPC has now formed a specialist coatings Inspection Division using Institute of Corrosion certificated personnel.
