A new division has been formed to provide high quality coatings
and surface treatment services to the civil, chemical, structural
and maintenance engineering industries.
This new specialist division has been set up in response to the
ever-increasing demands from the clients of the parent company for
a skilled, reliable coating inspection resource.
The division, created in October 2002, it's inspectors having many
years’ experience in the field and, with direct links to the
parent company, is able to support and enhance the consulting services
offered by SPC.
“This initiative is an exciting development for us all,”
says William Deacon, who heads up the new division. “SPC has
felt for some time that its clients would benefit from
a dedicated and professional inspection service resource and here
we are at last!
“All our inspectors will be qualified to Institute of Corrosion
standards and will be members of that professional body.”
William Deacon (right) began his coatings career with practical
blasting and painting experience with a leading application contractor
in the UK, and in France where he worked at an international paint
manufacturer. He has also completed all three levels of Institute
of Corrosion training, including the Advanced Level III.
William gained valuable additional experience as an Inspector at
a variety of sites in England and Scotland, and later as Clerk of
Works on the Blackfriars Bridge, London. |
