SPC has decided to launch a specialist coating Inspection Division
in 2003, to provide high quality specialist inspection for important
painting and re-painting contracts.
The new Division will be headed up by William Deacon, who has worked
with SPC as a trainee and is now a qualified coating inspector. He
has taken all three levels of the Institute of Corrosion Coating Inspectors
and Certification Scheme. He has also taken the NACE Corrosion technician
exam.
The Inspection Division will provide only Institute of Corrosion qualified
coating inspectors which in addition to the management provided by
William Deacon, technical backup will be provided by the SPC consultancy
team to ensure that the highest levels of quality and technical standards
are maintained on the projects which SPC will undertake.
Inspection Division is created
This new specialist Inspection Division has been set up in response
to the ever-increasing demands from the clients of the parent company
for a skilled, reliable coating inspection resource.
Although the Division started on 1 October 2002, its inspectors have
many years’ experience in the field and, with direct links to
the parent company, is able to support and enhance the consulting
services offered by SPC.More
