In addition to numerous papers given at both UK and International
Corrosion and Paint Conferences and Seminars, the Consultants of SPC
have produced a series of three books.
 The
original book, Corrosion Protection of Steel Structures by Ken Chandler
and Derek Bayliss, was published in 1984.
The second, Steelwork Corrosion Control by Bayliss and Chandler,
was published in 1991.
The third book, which is the second edition of Steelwork
Corrosion Control by Derek Bayliss and David Deacon,
was published in the Summer of 2002.More

A major publication by the Steel Construction Institute (Technical
Report No. 241) entitled Durability of Steel Bridges a Survey of
the Performance of Protective Coatings, was based on a report prepared
by Alan Taylor and David Deacon, following the survey of over 1500
steel bridges concerned with motorways and trunk roads in the UK.
