SPC have been involved in a wide range of structures both in the UK
and overseas and these can be categorised as follows: |
Bridges Major
bridges include the Forth Road Bridge, the Avonmouth Bridge M5,
the Boston Manor Way Viaduct M4, the Forth Rail Bridge, the Thelwall
Viaduct M6, the Craigavon Bridge in Northern Ireland, Blackfriars,
Tower and Southwark Bridges in Central London, as well as a number
of smaller bridges all over the UK and overseas.More

Floodgates SPC
whose consultants were initially involved in the 70’s with
the successful recommendation for
a 25-year life coating on the Thames Barrier and associated floodgates
and are still advising the Environment Agency on maintenance aspects,
and have also been involved in a number of similar projects in Pakistan,
including the Kotri and Sukker Barrages. In addition the Toome Gates
in Northern Ireland and a number of sluices and smaller gates in
the Thames Valley area have also been surveyed and assessed.

Buildings There
have been a varied number of small, medium and large buildings that
have been covered by SPC consultancy services and these include
the Lloyds Building in Central London, the Registry and Court Buildings
in Douglas, the Isle of Man and the Saga Insurance Building in Folkestone.
In addition SPC were retained to advise on the protection of the
steel building frame on the Eden Project.

Power and Chemical Plants
As well as the three catagories of structures outlined above, SPC
have also been involved with power stations, refineries and chemical
plant and these include the Shell Stanlow Refinery, the BP Chemicals
Saltend Plant, the Isle of Grain Power Station in North Kent and
a power plant in Jamaica.
