With topics ranging from standards and specifications for specifiers and contractors to implementation of surface preparation and coatings on specific types of structure, SPC has held more than 100 bespoke training programmes for many different organisations.
SPC is able to tailor training programmes according to the needs of an organisation, including in-house presentations and regional workshops, each with their own specific content and educational format.
SPC collaborated with Corus (formerly British Steel, now Tata Steel) to present courses for users of steel structures. This joint venture programme continues throughout the United Kingdom.
The company organised a series of two day workshops at the Thames Barrier, a course with strong emphasis on enviromental issues and control of coating contracts application.
SPC has also run a series of workshops providing practical anti-corrosion input for painting contractors.
Distance learning has become far more accessable in recent years. SPC has now been retained by a consortium consisting of SCI/BCSA/TATA steel to provide for the corrosion protection section of their webinar.
SPC demonstrates its coatings and anti-corrosion expertise at a number of seminars and conferences across the UK and internationally. Papers were presented recently at the eighth International Cable Supported Bridge Operators Conference in Edinburgh (ICSBOC 2013) and a Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) conference in 2014.
